Group team is sold for US $ $2.8 billion

The American Group Meredith announced on Sunday (26) that will buy the Publisher team, owner of the magazines People, Sports Illustrated and Fortune, among others, by the value of $ $2.8 billion.
Most of the transaction will be paid in cash by billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, who run an industrial Empire (refineries, chemicals, oil) and are well known in the United States for his political activities in favor of the Republicans.
In a statement, the Meredith group, known for his publications of lifestyle and decoration, said the transaction will create a media company with revenues of $ $4.8 billion. Combined, Meredith's brands will have an audience of 135 million of readers and sell nearly 60 million of signatures of celebrity magazines, food, lifestyle, news and sports, children, fashion and luxury.
Before being sold, the group Team implemented a strategic plan which provided, in particular, a greater investment in the digital sector. On occasion, the group said it was seeking an "aggressive rebalancing of costs".
The Time Inc. is the result of a split in June 2014 by American film and media group Time Warner, who wished to get rid of your press activities, under pressure as the rest of the sector.
