The basic basket price falls in capital 14

Sao Paulo-the basic basket price in February rose by 13 capital surveyed by the Inter-union Department of statistics and socioeconomic studies (Dieese), but fell in 14 other localities.
The national survey of the Basic Food Basket published on Monday, 14, points out that the biggest high in comparison with January occurred in the northern region, while the largest drops were recorded in Victory, palms and Campo Grande.
The main highlights of the month were on behalf of Macapá (8.93%), Bethlehem (8.64%) and Manaus (7.92%). At the other end, Victory ( -8.45%), Palmas ( -7.80%) and Campo Grande ( -6.00%) recorded the highest deflation.
In Sao Paulo, where the cost of the basic basket is higher ($ 443,40), the indicator presented 1.10% retraction comparison between February and January this year.
When considered the two-month period, the first quarter of the year was particularly costly for residents of Manaus (19.05%), Aracaju (18.43%) and Bethlehem (15.60%). The only capitals to present fall in the period were Porto Alegre ( -1.78%) and Campo Grande ( -0.15%).

According to the Dieese, minimum wage necessary to the maintenance of a family of four in Sao Paulo should be equate to R$ 3,725.01, or 4.23 times more than the minimum of R$ 880.00.
In January, the minimum required was estimated at R$, or 4.31 3,795.24 times the current floor, according to the Dieese.
The survey considers the cost of São Paulo for the capital where the basic basket price is higher.
