White paint to encode returnable glass bottles and non-returnable, Markem-Imaje world launch

The Markem-Imaje, manufacturer and worldwide distributor of printing and marking solutions, is launching the MW470, a tough and washable white paint, which allows code legibly dark glass bottles, returnable or not, as for example, bottles of beer, soft drinks and fruit juices.
The opacity of the new ink MW470 of Markem-Imaje offers the contrast needed to obtain visible codes on glass or amber colored bottles. The white color of ink integrates harmoniously in the decorations of the bottles, as opposed to the blue and yellow colors, used normally.
MW470 ink has the property of adhere perfectly to the glass, which, however, does not prevent their easy removal in washing machines with low concentration of soda. For manufacturers, this means a saving of soda and in the treatment of water used.
Other advantages of the ink MW470 are their resistance to pasteurization and its ability to encode returnable bottles that have resistance to risk treatment (tratamentosTegoglas ® and Opticoat ®).
All these qualities are arousing the interest of the major Brewers in South America, Africa and Europe, as well as many craft breweries in Europe and North America, to adopt this ink to encode its products.
Beyond the glass, all packaging for drinks can benefit from excellent adhesion and ink MW470 contrast: PET bottles, aluminium cans, metal barrels or PE, bottle boxes, removable and depapelão packaging films.
Finally, associated with the use of ink-jet printers of Markem-Imaje, 9450S the new ink MW470 overcomes the most significant requirements of this sector, particularly in terms of speed, encoding up to 120,000 products per hour.
