Shops that specialize in teas grow in the country

Brazilian entrepreneurs are investing in the tea market, based on the trend of gourmet products, with specialty stores. The recipe for increasing sales and imported items combines high average ticket value.
One of the examples is the Moncloa, which Tea Boutique opened its first unit in September 2013. Currently, the company works through franchises, with eight units in all Brazil, seven in the South and one in São Paulo.
"We want to take advantage of this lack of companies ready to have operations in Brazil and establish the brand. We have a growth of 10 to 15% per annum and quadruplicamos our operations, "says Rodrigo Lopes, co-founder of the brand. According to him, the units in Santa Catarina and Paraná have average billing R$ 65000, while paulista unit is expected to earn R$ 100000.
The Tea Shop, with 17 years of market in Shopping Iguatemi, began operating without high expectations and won a large market. For the Manager and sommelier, Carla Saueressig, the great advantage of the business was the passion for teas.
"In this market, you have to be willing to work and, of course, love teas. Otherwise, it is not interesting to an entrepreneur, "says Carla. Are satisfied by the Tea Shop, monthly, between 1,500 and 2,000 customers and offers more than 200 infusions.
