Sale of building materials Grows 3%

According to the monthly survey of the Anamaco (National Association of traders of construction materials), retail sales of building material grew 3% in October, compared with September. Nevertheless, the sector continues to fall to 7% in the year and 8% in the past 12 months. Already comparing the last six months with the same period last year, the sector offers slightly better performance, with growth of 2%, indicating that sales have stopped falling. Among the categories surveyed, paints that obtained best results with growth of 9% in function of Christmas, where people tend to paint their homes, according to Claudio Conz, President of Anamaco.
