In the United States, aspartame is eliminated from the Diet Pepsi soda

On Monday (10), in the United States, Pepsi will start to sweeten the diet version of the refrigerant with sucralose instead of aspartame.
The change is the largest ever made in the drink in about 30 years and happens in response to consumer demands for healthier products.
Aspartame is a controversial ingredient and its use has been associated with problems such as headache, fatigue, anxiety, eating and even the development of diseases.

"We recognize that consumer demand is evolving and we are confident that cola lovers will enjoy the light flavor of this new product," said Seth Kaufman, Vice President of Portfolio and flavors of Pepsi North America, in a statement.
To encourage customers to prove the new Diet Pepsi, the company will distribute samples and make advertisements, promotions and calls on social networks.
Aspartame should not be eliminated from other company beverages, as Kaufman told the Bloomberg in April. The change is focused on soft drinks of cola line that have presented fall in sales.
Pepsico's products, according to herself, is consumed 1 billion times a day in 200 countries around the world. Last year, the company had an income of 66 billion dollars.
