Beef production expected to grow almost 20% this year

The gross value of production (VBP) of beef must come to an end this year around $ 93 billion, as estimated from the Confederation of Agriculture and livestock of Brazil (CNA).
This corresponds to an increase of 19.23% compared to R $ 78 billion of VBP last year.

According to CNA, Brazil's exports in this sector grew 14% 737 years, from US $ 779 million (us $ 2.7 billion at today's prices), in the year 2000, to $ 6.4 billion (us $ 22.2 billion) in 2014.
Figures from the Brazilian Association of Meat exporters (Abiec) show that, last year, Brazil sold beef in natura for 151 countries and industrialised to 103 countries.
The Abiec points out that the performance has improved with the opening of new markets and the fall of sanitary barriers imposed by some markets and cites the case of the United States, which opened the door to fresh meat on the recent visit of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff to the country.
Was significant, too, the opening of the Government of Russia, in August last year.
Lifting of the United States Department of Agriculture indicates that world production of beef will come to 59.7 million tonnes carcass equivalent.
The Brazil, with 17% of world production, is surpassed only by the United States, which account for 19% of the total. Last year, however, Brazil led exports, with 21% of worldwide sales of beef.
The CNA points out that beef is one of the main products of Brazilian agribusiness, present in almost all States.
According to the Brazilian Institute of geography and statistics (IBGE), there are in Brazil 2.67 million agricultural establishments with cattle in the country. According to CNA, the meat production chain moves R $ 167,5 billion a year and generates close to 7 million jobs.
