Múltis are accused of ' makeup ' products

Unilever, Nestlé and Pepsico can be fined amounts that reach more than $ 7.9 million if convicted in five administrative proceedings opened by the National Secretariat of the consumer (Senacon) of the Ministry of Justice.
The establishment of procedures on ' makeup ' of product – when there is a reduction in the quantity of the products without proper consumer information-was published in the Official Gazette yesterday. The companies have 10 days to present a defense.
In the case of Unilever products that would have been clean are the ice cream Kibon, Omo washing powder and deodorant Rexona Men V8. In the case of Nestlé 's ice cream Chocolover product and in the case of Pepsico's Quaker Oats.
The Director of the Department of consumer protection and defense, Amaury, said in a note that "at first, it was verified that the products with lower weight had the packing dimensions larger than the original, despite reducing the amount. After some companies started to keep the size of packaging, reducing the weight without any information to consumers. Now [...] the information about the new weight even exists, but the reduction of the product is not transmitted clearly and ostentatious to the consumer, as it determines the consumer defense code ".
Nestlé and Unilever claimed comply with the legislation. PepsiCo waits for information to position itself on the issue.
Nestle reported in note which recently reformulated the "take home" category (not immediate) of its line of ice creams, which acquired new packaging concepts and variety of flavors. "The whole line began to be sold in 1.5 litre jars to suit to the current demand in the consumer market". The company says that "the change happened in October 2014 and remains, to date, being communicated clearly on the packaging of the products, in full compliance with the legislation in force."
Unilever said it has not been officially summoned, but pointed out that "complies with all the laws applied in the country with honesty, integrity and transparency".
