Cocamar predicts 2% high in soy processing in 2015

The Cocamar cooperativa agroindustrial, based in Maringá (PR), predicted today that process 950 million tons of soybeans this year, 2% above the 930 thousand in 2014.
According to the cooperative, the production of edible soybean oil must pass the 8 million boxes, volume 16% higher than the 6.9 million last year. As each box packing 20 900 ml bottles, would be at least 160 million units of oil.
The Cocamar acts Northwest and North regions of Paraná, southwest of Mato Grosso do Sul and West of São Paulo, with 12.4 thousand associated producers. The cooperative industry has the capacity to process 3.2 thousand tons of soybeans a day, and filling 37.2 thousand boxes.
The expectation of the Cocamar is receiving this year 1.240 million tons of soybeans, of which 1.1 million delivered by producers and 140 thousand acquired from third parties. Last week, the cooperative revised upward its projection of revenues in 2015 to $ 3,11 billion, compared to R $ 3,05 billion estimated earlier. If confirmed, the number will be 10.5% higher than the r $ 2,815 billion in the last financial year.
