Mines oven Premiere in new category

The Oven of Mines acquired 30% of the assets of Sérya foods, a factory specialized in frozen potatoes, which are already beginning to be negotiated with the market. The company, which has a plant in Araxá, Minas Gerais, was created by a group of investors and will produce for the market the brand Rusti, in two versions of products: Grated potato Totems and Potato When Assa Kids, with 400 g versions for retail and 1 kilo packaging for food service. "We will have a great power of quality and competitiveness, because we will be the ones to manufacture these types of product in Brazil, and with the whole potato, not just the ends," says Vicente Camiloti, commercial Director of Oven of mines, in an interview with Rotating News Portal.
The company's bet
In addition to the frozen potatoes, Camiloti highlights the food service channel as the business that should channel a large part of the growth of 24% of the company scheduled for this year, reaching sales of $ 272 million. "Today the food service represents 30% of our revenues and is the fastest-growing segment in our business. That's why we're investing in our direct channel, in key accounts, and in three years this channel must achieve 50% shares in the company's sales, "concluded the Executive.
