With restructuring, Force profits almost 70% more on 4th Qtr

With higher value-added products and brand repositioning, the Force Foods closed the year of 2014 with a net profit of 120 million dollars, an all-time record for the company, according to balance sheet released on Wednesday (10).
In the fourth quarter, consolidated net profit of the company, which is controlled by the J&F, arrived to 39.8 million dollars, an increase of 69.9% as compared to the same period last year.
Registered net revenue was $ 1.15 billion, an increase of 16% compared to the equivalent quarter of 2013.
Already the controller, isolated, had a net profit of 22.3 million reais in the fourth quarter of last year. The value is 4.7 times higher than achieved in the fourth quarter in 2013.
Net revenues accounted for was of 518.7 million reais, an increase of 22% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Restructuring
The company credits the good result of restructuring by 2014 which its operations have spent the last years. Besides changing the portfolio of products to obtain better added value, to Force bet on innovation and brand repositioning.
Were also made improvements in the level of service and management of costs and expenses of the manufacturer of dairy products.
Over the past year, 130 new products were released or reissued by the company under the brand Effect and Itambé, with emphasis on the Existing line Greek, which received significant investment to increase production and won new flavors.
Among reissues, gained special attention the Leco marks, with the line of juices, and the Blue Ribbon, with the cheeses. Both were repositioned to aggregate value to items, without losing the tradition of name, according to Force Food.
The Lodge also underwent repositioning, mainly in dried product line, and has released updates, throughout the year.
Only in 2014, the Force sold 824,500 tonnes of food.
