Revenue from the service sector grew 1.6% in January, according to the IBGE

Nominal gross revenue from the service sector grew 1.6% in January 2015, compared with the same month of 2014, said the Brazilian Institute of geography and statistics (IBGE), on Tuesday, 17. It was the worst result of the historical series of monthly Research services, which began in January 2012. The industry's gross revenues accumulated 5.4% high in 12 months.
The monthly survey of services was inaugurated in August of 2013, with historical series from January 2012. The research produces nominal indexes gross revenue, broken down by activity and with details for some States, divided into three main types: the index of the month against the same month of the previous year; the index YTD; and the index accumulated in 12 months.
Still no disclosure of data with seasonal adjustment (month against immediately preceding month), because, according to the IBGE, the deseasonalisation premium requires the existence of a historical series of approximately four years. The press conference to comment on the results of the PMS will begin shortly.
