BRF's net profit reaches r $ 2.2 billion in 2014

The net profits of the BRF more than doubled in 2014 and reached the cumulative amount of R$2,2 billion, an increase of 109.4% in comparison with the previous year. EBITDA, in turn, reached R $ 4.9 billion, which means a rise of 56.4% in 2013. The net operating revenue (ROL) recorded the amount of R$31,7 billion, 4.0% greater number. The performance comes from positive results in the international market, growth of points of sale in Brazil and the highest quality service.
The following analysis excludes the results of dairy operations classified as discontinued in the balance sheet, after signing the contract of sale in this segment with the for Lactalis. The ROSTER grew 4.4% in 2014, reaching R$29,0 billion against R$27,8 billion in 2013, favoured by improvement of average prices in Brazil and in the international market, besides the volume growth in Food Services. In this sense, proved assertive global strategy to position the final consumer at the center of the business, identifying characteristics and trends in markets served by BRF in more than 110 countries.
In 2014, there were also fall of the level of indebtedness of the company, which ended the last quarter with a ratio of net debt to EBITDA (last 12 months) of 1.04 time 2.17 times the ante 4T13.
The alienation of the dairy business for for Lactalis ($ 1.8 billion) is in line with the strategy to focus on businesses that are the vocation of the company. With the same goal, was held a strategic partnership with the Fridge Minerva, which absorbed the cattle slaughter plants of the BRF in Exchange for a stake in the company.
