Beer production fell 6.6% in February, according to the Sicobe

The Brazilian production of beer fell 6.6% in February this year compared with the same period last year, according to data from the control System for the production of beverages (Sicobe), the internal revenue service. Last month, the national beverage manufacturing totaled 1.149 billion liters.
In the first two months of 2015, Brazilian beer production registers 2.9% drop compared to the same period in 2014. In January and February of this year, the total amount produced reaches 2.452 billion liters.
Soft Drinks
The production of soft drinks also had retraction in February. In comparison with the same month last year, the beverage manufacturing fell 10.8%, coming in at 1.176 billion liters. Within two months of 2015, the production of soft drinks accumulates 5% drop, adding 2.543 billion liters.
