Minerva buys Colombian for $ 30 million refrigerator

The Minerva reported on Friday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding to buy Colombian Red refrigerator Carnica by 30 million dollars.
The figure includes the acquisition of assets located in the municipality of Ciénaga de Oro, Córdoba Department, in Colombia, working capital and investment for expansion and modernization of the premises, said Minerva in fact.
The Red Carnica, which has no financial debt, has a processing unit and slaughter of cattle with slaughter capacity and boning of 850 head per day.
According to Minerva, he "is strategically located in a privileged region of Colombia", being the region of Córdoba, the largest producer of beef in the country, with several qualifications and access to ports for export.
According to Minerva, the acquisition of Red Carnica will represent an important stage of its growth plan in South America, announced in 2012.
