The Central Cooperative Aurora Foods inaugurates today a unit of slaughter and processing of pigs in the industrial district of Joaçaba, Santa Catarina. The venture will spend 44% of production for the foreign market and 56% for consumption of the domestic market, according to the State Department of Agriculture and fisheries, on their website.
The industrial unit of Joaçaba was inaugurated in April 2002 and had their activities paralyzed, because of the international financial crisis, in April 2009.
