Milk producer has better income since October 2007

The combination of a sharp increase in noconsumo and one of the smallest volumes of milk produced and collected by industries made the month of June the best for dairy farmers since October 2007. The average price paid to the producer per litre of milk reached r $ 1,0178 last month, against R $ 0,9854 in the previous month. In October 2007, the price was $ 1,0293, according to values deflated by the IPCA in March.
"Who is still in activity is more excited about that price," said Ma Jonadan, Vice President of the Brazilian Association of creators of Girolando cattle.
The new level of prices has allowed to recover losses of other eras and plan investments. In the case of Jonadan, who owns a farm in Uberaba (MG) with 190 heads of dairy cattle, the new price makes it more concrete your decomprar plan new plants. Their goal is to have 500 animals in up to five years. Currently, his cows have a daily production of 5 thousand litres, which can increase to 6.5 thousand litres until September.
Producers of Minas Gerais, such as Jonadan, were the ones who most benefited from this new level of prices in the dairy market. Every litre of milk sold, producers received $ 1,0385 miners. The figure was the second largest registered by Cepea. The highest price was noted in Goiás, where each producer last month received R $ 1,0772 per liter sold.
According to the Brazilian Association of producers of milk, the Milk Brazil, Minas Gerais is now the largest producer of milk in the country, with an average of 8.756 billion liters per year, followed by Rio Grande do Sul, with 3.879 billion liters per year, and Paraná, with 3.815 billion liters per year. Goiás appears in fourth place in the national ranking, with 3.482 billion liters.
The positive wave to the Administration is the direct reflection of the industry capture, which in the first quarter photographed 1.4% less with respect to the same period last year.
The breakdown of New Zealand's dairy production, dairy, world's largest producer of the United States and Europe also influenced the market.
For the industry association, the increase in consumption is largely responsible for the new level of prices for both the producer and the consumer. "What moves the price of milk is drinking, which for some time has been significantly increased. A decade ago, was 90 litres consumption per capita. Today is 180 litres per capita, "says the President of Brazil, Jorge Rubez Milk.
High costs
However, the producers claim that their profit has not increased much, since the costs are also higher. "The margin is not as great as it could be, but it is better than in the past years," says Jonadan.
For the ranchers who work with livestock in pastures, the cost has ranged from $ 0.60 to $ 0,65. For those who work with containment, the cost varies from $ 0,85 and $ 0.90.
According to Rubez, the largest weight on production costs come from labor, which represents 40% of the costs of the producer. High also has heavy freight in and already represents 15% of the costs. Also enter in feed costs, medicines, electricity, maintenance, among others.
Perspective
High prices for the producer must keep at least until September, when the rains come back more often and allow more grazing dairy cattle. According to Jonadan, with the crop failure in other markets, "the trend is still firm price this year".
"I don't think below R $ 1.08, but can also go up very little," says Jorge, Brazil Milk Rubez.
