Embrapa Swine and poultry launches organic fertilizer in AveSui 2013

The Adumax, organic fertilizer produced from pig manure treatment, will be presented for the first time to the national market by Embrapa Swine and poultry of Concord (SC), decentralized unit of agricultural research company under the Ministry of agriculture, livestock and food supply, during 2013, industry AveSui Latin American poultry and swine which happens to 14 to 16 may in the South Centre, Convention Center of Florianópolis (SC).

"The technological arrangement includes the production of pigs with waste (which must have a total solids concentration above 5%) serving of raw material for composting and the enrichment of fertilizer; composting, when ejecta are distributed by a machine in a bed of compost with sawdust from wood of reforestation; and the compost factory, where the organic compound is sifted and packaged for marketing ", explains the researcher Paulo Armando de Oliveira, responsible for the development of technology. The release of bio-fertilizers will be made during the lecture of researcher on May 14, on the Panel "& Bioenergy Biomass".

Among the benefits of using organic fertilizer are income generation for product marketing; the possibility of extending the flocks of pigs in the same area; the environmentally correct destination for the pigs waste; low emission of greenhouse gases (such as, for example, methane); the recycling of production waste; the reduction of odours in the treatment; the possibility of obtaining carbon credits; the increase in organic matter in the soil; and the fact that it is a technology included in the ABC program (low carbon Agriculture) of the Federal Government.

The Adumax can be applied in vegetable gardens and gardens, besides serving for reforestation and the cultivation of grains. The product has the company partnership CTR fertilizer industry, Jaborá (SC).
