Claudia Sender is new President of TAM

TAM announced yesterday that the Executive Claudia Sender, 38 years, will be the new President of the company. With the change, TAM back to have a President in charge solely by the company. Since February 2012, the President of TAM S.A. holding, Marco Antonio Bologna, accumulated also the President of TAM Airlines. Claudia will be the first woman to command an airline.

"Issues such as the promotion of regional aviation, increasing airport capacity, competitive dynamics and the big events that Brazil will receive in this and the coming years require focus on the everyday life of the company, which will be in charge of Claudia from today," he said.
While leaving the Presidency of TAM Airlines, Bologna will focus on the consolidation of the merger of LAN and TAM, made official in June 22, 2012. TAM S.A. is the parent company of TAM TAM Airlines Paraguay and Multiplus.

The last Executive to devote himself exclusively to the President of TAM Airlines was Lebanon. He left the role in February last year to be CFO (chief financial officer) of Latam, but left the company soon after, in September.
