AMBEV SIGNS PROTOCOL TO BUILD FACTORY

Ambev signed yesterday a memorandum of understanding for the construction of a brewery in the city of Uberlândia, in Minas Gerais State. The planned investment in the unit are of R $ 550 million and are part of the program of injections of up to r $ 3 billion provided by the company in the country in the year. The company's intention to have the factory had already been announced. With the new drive, Ambev will aggregate four plants in the State. The others are located in Sete Lagoas and Contagem, Juatuba.
The new brewery Ambev will have a production capacity of eight million hectolitres and will generate around 1,000 jobs during the civil works and Assembly. In the operation of the unit, will be 400 new direct and indirect jobs.
"The choice by Uberlândia is strategic to Ambev, because the city has privileged location for distribution of products, and to gather all the necessary conditions for the deployment and operation of the business," said regional director of Ambev in the Triângulo Mineiro, Mauricio Soufen, in a statement.
In addition to the factories, Ambev maintains in the region nine distribution centers (count; Pampulha, Belo Horizonte; Seven Ponds; Uberaba; Uberlândia, Santa Luzia, Alfenas, Poços de Caldas and Pouso Alegre) and 28 more re-sales. The productive chain employs in the State of Minas Gerais has 190 thousand employees direct, indirect and induced, which generates $ 1.4 billion in wages and $ 3.1 million in value added.
