Agreement between Embraer and SkyWest would involve $ 4.1 billion

The agreement that the Embraer negotiates with the American firm orders 100 involves SkyWest that, if confirmed, reaching an estimated value of $ 4.1 billion at list price. In a statement, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer States that the application "represents one of the most important orders in the history of the two companies." The delivery of the first Jet is scheduled for the second quarter of 2014.
Initially 40 E175 jets will be operated by SkyWest under a capacity purchase agreement with United Airlines. These come in order to deliver portfolio of Embraer for the second quarter of 2013. Embraer recently signed with United Airlines for 30 firm orders and 40 options for the Jet E175.
Other 60 firm orders are conditioned the signing of new agreements by SkyWest with u.s. airlines. In addition, the agreement provides for more 100 E175 jets, reaching a total of 200 aircraft. As reported earlier (read note of 8:22), the order total (200 airplanes) could reach about $ 8.3 billion.
