Zip-Pak opens factory in Brazil

A world leader in technology of zippers, Zip-Pak, American Group company ITW, inaugurated yesterday (13/3) its factory in Brazil, located at Cabreúva (SP). The official start of the project was marked by an event that was attended by customers, partners and global Board.
According to the Zip-Pak's commercial Director in Brazil, Daniel Richena, with local production the zippers are much more price competitive. "But the benefits to users are not restricted to costs because all the service and support services is more agile," explains the Executive. "We bet on the growth of convenience in Brazilian packaging applications, and so we decided to build here the eighth Zip-Pak plant in the world."
During the event, the Executive Director of the Brazilian Association of packaging (Opens), Luciana Pellegrino, gave a presentation on the strategic importance of packing, especially need to be greater integration of the production chain so that all the technology made available by suppliers can be incorporated into the market knowledge of brand owners, and vice versa. As a result, the application engineer of Zip-Pak, Flávio Zampirolli, presented some of the company's solutions able to add convenience to the consumer.
The lectures were followed by visit to the factory, where they were shown the production and application of zippers, as well as the technical analysis laboratory. The celebrations if closed with a cocktail party and raffle giveaways.
