Le Biscuit invests $ 100 million in the expansion of the network

The network opens first unit in Piauí and passes the count with 38 stores in nine States.
The network of department stores Le Biscuit foresees to invest $ 100 million in the opening of 20 new units and a new distribution center in this year.
As part of this strategy, the company opened its first branch in Teresina in Piauí. This is the 38th store network, which already operates in eight other States (Bahia, Sergipe, Pernambuco, Pará, Rio Grande do Norte, Maranhão, Minas Gerais and São Paulo).
"The growth of Teresina, and their consequent piggybacking, which occurred in the last 15 years, and, added to the good economy, are factors that influenced the choice of Le Biscuit around town," says Álvaro Samant, CEO of Le Biscuit, in a note.
The company offers a range of more than 60 thousand items in the areas of decoration, household utilities, stationery, toys, party, haberdashery, bomboniére, bed, table and bathroom.
