Lack of parts keeps VW stop in Brazil

Volkswagen must obtain court injunction today to remove their equipment from the factories of Keiper, the Group Prevent. The automaker broke the contract to supply various parts with the company, after delays in deliveries which led to the shutdown of its plants for 140 days in all, as of March 2015. In the period, 130,000 cars are no longer produced. The syndicate of the metalurgists of Santo André and Mauá and Keiper officials will try to prevent the output of machinery. They fear for the closure of the factory and the non-receipt of severance package. In Germany, where it was facing similar problem with the same group of investors in Bosnia, the automaker closed deal back from parts supply yesterday. The delay in deliveries led Volkswagen to reduce journey or give off nearly 28000 local workers last week. In Brazil, VW ended contract with Keiper two weeks ago and, in a meeting on Regional Labor Station (DRT) of St. Andrew yesterday was willing to review the decision. It was during this meeting that the Union knew of the injunction. "Since when the supply problems on the part of the Group Prevent began, were closed 11 commercial agreements, but none has been fulfilled by the supplier. Not even injunctions in court for the resumption of deliveries have been met, "according to Volkswagen. The company wants to go over their equipment to new suppliers. "The absence of these tools put at risk the entire chain of supply and network of dealers, totaling more than 100000 workers," he says. Already the Keiper tells that, without the automaker''s contract, its largest customer, could fire 1200 workers.
