Revenues from the sale of tablets was R $400 million, 11% decline, according to a survey published on Monday, 18, by the consultancy IDC Brazil, accompanying the information technology markets and telecommunications.

In addition, we note that companies are diversifying the products to generate more demand, "says Wellington La Falce, market analyst of IDC Brazil. "The market for tablets for children is quite strong, but products for the elderly, for example, are now entering the radar," says La Falce.
The IDC also highlights a change in the average price during the period. Compared to the first quarter of 2017, the average value of the units was discharged to 6%, from R $477 from January to March, to R $505, from April to June.
In the comparison year after year, there was an increase of 14%, since the average ticket in the second quarter of 2016 was R $443. "The best quality equipment had more space in the period. The industry is keen to show that the tablets are not just for entertainment, but to education, work and for content consumption in General ", the analyst argued.
For IDC, by the end of 2017 must be marketed 3,750,000 of tablets, which consolidates the indentation of 6% in sales before 2016, when 4 million were sold. "The total revenue of 2017 must close the year in R $1.967 billion. What represents a pullback from 6% in comparison with the figures of last year ", concludes La Falce.
