The folder holder met with the Secretary of the U.S. Department of agriculture (USDA), Sonny Perdue, yesterday, to deal with it.
As Maggi, there is no "political objections" by Perdue to suspend the embargo on meat from Brazil, second of audio interview by the Minister provided by the Press Office of the Ministry.
In a social network, Maggi said that the meeting with Perdue was uneventful and that there is a political commitment to the reopening to occur as soon as possible. "Brazil will guarantee that the findings that prevented [the brazilian meat] to enter the US don''t happen anymore."
The purchases were suspended because of abscesses found in cuts of beef shipped to the United States.
