Fall of Waste Can Generate Profit

According to research data "solutions to reduce food waste in retail in Latin America", held by Sealed Air Food Care, in Latin America, it is estimated that food waste reaches 4.4% of retail sales. Between the professionals of this sector, 99% consider the reduction of waste the biggest concern, followed by theft control with 76%, cost containment, 73% and energy resource management, 71%. For them, the containment of losses could increase profits by up to 29% in Brazil, 14% in Argentina and 7% in Mexico. The study heard 194 professionals and more than 3,000 consumers.
