South Wine adopts filling technology and packaging from Sig Combibloc

The sommelier South Wine Company (SWC) is expanding its line of packaging and offering his brand of "Odyssey" wines on the Russian market in aseptic carton packaging. The company opted for filling and packaging technology from SIG Combibloc and now four of his wines, semi-dry suits are offered in combiblocSlimline packing 1 litre. Previously, the product was offered only in glass bottles.
"We decided to make our wines, made with grapes grown in their own region of the Taman peninsula, in carton packs from SIG Combibloc," explains Vyacheslav Merkulov, Director of South Wine Company. "We are convinced that this package maintains the high quality of wines and offers a lot of convenience to the modern consumer." In Krasnodar, close to the vineyards, the company installed a CFA 310 filling machine from SIG Combibloc. The town lies on the Taman peninsula, between the sea of Azov and the Black Sea. Protected from the harsh cold of winter and summer climate, the region benefits from the location to be one of the most important grape-growing of Russia.
