New category will represent 10% of the sales of Vilma

Pasta Maker Vilma recently joined Foods biscuit category. The line has versions saltines, water and salt, wafer, filled, buttery and doughnuts. The expectation is that she represents 10% of the business in 2017.
The industry acquired Krokero in 2014, who played in that segment. Last year, the factory was expanded and now produces the cookies that take the brand Vilma. The entry in this market is part of the company''s strategy to increase its portfolio, which already includes – apart from the masses – mixes for cake, chocolate milk, flour, spices, sauces and refreshments.
The expectation of the manufacturer is to close this year with growth of 5%, reaching revenues of 700 million R$. The highlight of 2016 were the cheaper products. Of them will be 30% of the revenue. Vilma also expanded distribution in Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. Next year, it is expected to grow 8%.
