Grupo Pão de Açúcar revenue increases 16% Q4 2013

Consolidated net revenue of the Grupo Pão de Açúcar reached r $ 16,887 billion in the fourth quarter of 2013, an increase of 16.2% in comparison with R $ 14,530 billion from the same period of 2012. In the year, net revenues rose 13.7 percent, to $ 57,730 billion.
The Food presented GPA segment net revenues of r $ 9,24 billion in the months of October, November and December, with expansion of 17.2% compared to the previous year. Last year, the segment revenue was r $ 31,668 billion, up 13.5%.
The net revenue submitted by the New Dot-com reached r $ 1,415 billion in the quarter, with improvement of 32.6%, and reached r $ 4,297 billion in the year, an increase of 26.1 percent. Via hit Retail net revenue of R $ 6,232 billion in the quarter, with high of 11.8%, and net revenues of R $ 21,746 billion in the year, elevation 11.9%.
The Group had an expansion of 10.8% in same-store gross revenue, units open more than a year ago, and evolution of 9% in 12 months.
According to the Communique, the growth above inflation represents an acceleration compared to the first quarter of the year. The company also stresses the performance of promotional action "Black Friday", which benefited from sales of the group.
