Gazin invoice r $ 2.2 billion and sets new factory

The paranaense Gazin, who works in the industry and in the retail of furniture and appliances and which grossed r $ 2.2 billion last year, will decide in the coming days the site of installation of its seventh factory of mattresses and upholstered furniture. She will have an investment of r $ 30 million and was expected to be in São Paulo, in the municipality of Mococa, or in Minas Gerais, in the extreme. The choice will depend on tax incentives, according to company founder Mario Gazin, and the inauguration is scheduled for 2014.
Today the Gazin has two factories of furniture in Douradina (PR), where is the Head Office of the company, and also in Candelaria (RS), Vilhena (RO), Feira de Santana (BA) and Nayon (MT), the latter opened in 2012, after investments of r $ 20 million.
In the retail segment, which accounts for $ 940 million in revenue, the company has 188 stores, located in seven States. One of them was opened yesterday in Santarém (PA). He says look carefully the places where open shops, not to compete the retailers who buy their couches and mattresses. Today, in addition to having won smaller clients, the brand is present on networks such as Ponto Frio, Colombo and Walmart. "Sell 70% of what we produce to third parties," he says.
The Gazin was created 46 years and in 2013 the trading experience. Since January she's chaired by Osmar Della Valentin, who worked for 15 years at Gazin, where he was business manager of wholesale. Before Gazin, Valentin worked at HSBC Bank. The choice of someone outside the family was strategic. "How will I charge result from my brother or my son?" asks the founder, has has 63 years of age.
But the businessman has not turned away from deals. Asked what he expects for the year, he answers anything better than 2012, when profits totaled r $ 74 million.
Last year the Gazin opened 16 stores. In 2013, plans to inaugurate six (two already were) and reforming some units. On the future, Gazin said that do not plan to make acquisitions. "I'm afraid of duty too," he explains, adding that prefers to invest with own resources. Also ensures that does not think of the record company.
