GOVERNMENT TAXATION OF COLD DRINKS

The Ministry of Finance released the values in the tax on industrialized products (IPI) for a series of cold drinks. The measure includes drinks such as beer and soft drinks, and flavored waters, energy drinks and sports drinks. The new values will come into effect on Wednesday (01). At the end of September, Government and industry representatives hit that any tax increase would occur only in January 2015, based on new rules. The agreement, however, was revised and a possible elevation can occur in revision which would be of no more than 2%.
