Heineken''s profit rises 11% and sales have unexpectedly high

Amsterdam – Heineken, the world''s second-largest brewery in sales, announced today that it had a net profit of 293 million euros in the first quarter of the year, 11 percent more than the same period in 2016 gain.
In the same comparison, organic beer sales rose 0.6%, driven by results in Europe and in the region of Asia and the Pacific.
The sales data surprised, since analysts had predicted a fall of 0.5% in the last quarter.
In February, Heineken announced the purchase of Kirin Brazil, manufacturer of brands Schin, Baden Baden and Eisenbahn. The company anticipates completing the acquisition in the first half of 2017.
Heineken, which gets about two-thirds of your profit in emerging markets, also reported that their expectations for the year remain unchanged.
