Heineken becomes the second largest brewery of Brazil

The big Dutch company Heineken announced the purchase of Kirin Holdings, Brazil for € 664 million, about 2.2 billion R$. With the deal, Heineken became the second largest brewery of Brazil, behind only the Ambev.
Among the acquired portfolio brands Kirin are Schin, Devassa, Baden Baden and Eisenbahn. In addition, it also produces pharmaceutical products, chemicals and a line of juices and soft drinks.
