Heineken confirms that negotiates purchase of the owner of the Schin in Brazil

São Paulo – the Dutch Heineken confirmed on Friday that it is negotiating a possible "transaction on the Japanese giant Kirin''s assets in Brazil, as had been reported by brazilian media.
"These discussions are ongoing and there can be no certainty that an agreement will be closed. Further announcements will be made at the appropriate time, "said Heineken said in a statement.
The Kirin, which owns the brand Schincariol, would have agreed the sale of its Brazilian assets for Heineken and the expectation is that the deal will be announced in the coming weeks, according to sources heard by the newspaper O Estado de s. Paulo.
