Suggar provides 20% more to billing

Despite the fall in trade of white goods across the country in the first half, the Suggar appliances, with plant in Olhos D '' Água neighborhood in Belo Horizonte, has managed to circumvent the retraction in consumption resulting from the financial crisis and, from January to June, remained similar to that of the same period performance of 2015. In the first six months of this year, the company registered a turnover around 150,000,000 and R$, despite the unfavorable economic moment, believe that the second half may bring better results to the segment. In 2016, the company hopes to increase the recipe between 15% and 20%.

Recent data from the National Association of Manufacturers of electrical and electronic products (Down) show that from January to June, the sale of appliances of white line in the country fell 9.8%. Suggar''s President, José Lúcio Costa, acknowledges that the first half of the year did not provide the expected level of activity by sector, but explains that the predominant profile of consumers of the firm helped to avoid a negative balance. The tiny tanks, as always, represented the flagship of the group.

"In our case, there are two classes that still buy many of our products. The lowest, such as D and e, that have multiple incentives stemming from social programs from the federal Government and consume our tiny tanks, and high, responsible for purchasing products of higher added value, "says the Manager of the company.

José Lúcio Costa explains that the Suggar performance in July was already much better against the other months of 2016. The President believes that the trend is to improve sales in the rest of the year, particularly if resolving the political crisis through which the Country. Since may, clears the Senate the impeachment process of Dilma Rousseff and, meanwhile, the President of Brazil has been occupied by interim Michel Temer.

Last Tuesday, the price comparison site online Zoom trade disclosed that research showed that several white goods as ranges and refrigerators would be priced above the official inflation in the first half, calculated at 4.42%, according to the Brazilian Institute of geography and statistics (IBGE). The high costs of production of household appliances, on the wrong side of what one would expect for a pullback in sales, may, in the opinion of José Lúcio Costa, be related to three steel price adjustments occurring in the same range. It is estimated that, with the correction on the values of the raw material, the accumulated increase in the price of steel in the year is of 35%.

Suggar''s President, however, reports that the products marketed by the mining company didn''t suffer major readjustments by the fact that, for the most part, the plastic as base component. "Our main products today are made with plastic or are imported. And the dollar showed a certain stabilization. The plastic had a small increase, but nothing substantive that would interfere in our prices, "he says.

Plant in Paraiba-To achieve the goal of growth expected this year, José Lúcio Costa bet at the beginning of the operations of the manufacturing unit of Suggar being installed in the municipality of Conde, Paraíba, 50 kilometres from the port. According to the President of the company, the new plant, which relies on local government incentives, will mean cost savings for the group.

"Today, with the freight of a cartload of tiny tanks, for example, spend about 30% of the value of the cargo. With this unit, which will serve the Northeast, we save on freight, in labor, in addition to having incentives offered by the State ", he concludes.
