Half the people pay for plastic bags

To the common question "will want to bag?"-made by cashiers of supermarkets in Sao Paulo-the consumer response is almost "Yes". According to research done by the Plastivida (entity), half of the people who shop at markets say pay always for plastic bags.
Still, since the item began to be charged, in 2015, the production with a view to the city of Sao Paulo fell 60%, says Alfredo Shmitt, Director of Abiel (plastic packaging). The capital represents 10% of the demand of the country.
In July of this year, a Bill which provided for the return of the gratuity of the bags was vetoed by the city. Eight out of ten respondents are against the charges.
