Heineken closes factory in Bahia

The Heineken Brewery closed yesterday (6/15), the activities in Bahia. According to data from Sindibeb (Sindicato dos Trabalhadores da Indústria de beers and other drinks), 126 employees were dismissed from the unit, located in Feira de Santana. Heineken produced in the State brand beers Kaiser (in bottle) and Bavaria (canned).
In official report, Heineken reported that "the decision was made on the basis of constant business and feasibility studies on the need to bring the operation of the company to another level of excellence, maintaining its economic sustainability." The breweries of Pacatuba, Ceará, and Araraquara in São Paulo, will supply the regions that were met by the Bahian unit: beyond Bahia, Goiás and Amazon.
