The families of São Paulo will have to put more your hand in your pocket to celebrate Easter this year. Fish and chocolate (bars and Pralines) were also more expensive: the high recorded in the last 12 months were of 13.12 percent and 12.35%, respectively – above the average inflation in the period, from 10.18%.
Of the five types of fish surveyed, three showed high above the average inflation, particularly for Patagonian toothfish, which was the highest in the last 12 months, 27.45%, followed by salmon (24.16%). On the other hand, showed lower increase in the period the prices of sardine (10.47%), the cation (8.84%) and hake (5.76%).
In a statement, the organisation points out that, with the high prices, the trend is that consumers replace what they buy for more affordable items. "The rise of the dollar and inflationary pressure on food heavily impacted its purchasing power, making it more and more cautious at the time of purchase".
