Copersucar hits record sugar load in a single ship

The Sugar Terminal Copersucar (TAC), belonging to trading Copersucar, which suffered a fire in October last year, concluded last Saturday, day 6, the biggest shipment of sugar ever made on the right bank of the port of Santos (SP). Were loaded on the ship Christianna destined for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 70.806 thousand tons of raw sugar. Conforms to SA Commodities, the shipment was the largest made in Brazil in the last eight years.
The operation was conducted in three days, according to information from Copersucar. This means, according to the company, which the TAC returned to operate with loading capacity of sugar similar to that existing before the fire (5 million tons per year). However, the terminal still passes through the reconstruction of the warehouses burned in the fire.
