L'Occitane au Brésil extends the Mandacaru line

The Mandacaru, best-selling line of L'occitane brand au Brésil, just won new items for foot care, nails and cuticles. The moisturizing cream for Feet, exfoliating cream for Feet and oil for nails and cuticles with extract of Mandacaru, typical Brazilian Caatinga Cactus, which has high moisturizing power thanks to its ability to capture and water retention.
No wonder that one of the world's best-known Brazilian hinterland plants has already been subject of prose, verses and songs that extol their precious flowers, able to resist to the semi-arid climate of the region. Its buttons bloom in large white petals, which reign in the Caatinga during the night, spreading a delicious velvety fragrance. The beauty of the Mandacaru, symbol of hope and resistance, reborn with each flower, since announcing the arrival of rain in any period of the year.
Their green branches, often contorted and full of thorns, stand out amid the undergrowth and the arid sertão. Its fruit of strong and vibrant violet color presents white pulp and with small black seeds, which serve as food for various birds typical of the region. All these elements combined, served as inspiration for the visual identity of the line, created by artist Manasseh Borges. By means of woodcuts, the artist depicts the Mandacaru amid the sunny Interior, showing the strength and beauty of the Caatinga.
