Cervbrasil: production of beer grew 2.8% in July

In July, the production of beer grew by 2.8% this year compared with the same month of 2013, with a volume of 1.05 billion liters, according to data from the control System for the production of beverages (Sicobe) organized by the Brazilian Association of the industry of Beer (CervBrasil). In the period of the World Cup, the volume of beer produced in the country totaled 2.1 billion liters, an increase of 4.5% compared to the same months last year. Just the month of June, the highest verified was 6.3 percent, with 1.04 billion liters. Already in the accumulated seven first months of the year, the volume of beer was 10.3% higher in 2013.
