June sales of Mercedes-Benz rise 8% with singles

Daimler said sales of its Mercedes-Benz luxury carmaker soared 8 percent in June, thanks to sales of its compact models and with demand in China and the United States helping to compensate for the fall in deliveries in Japan and Germany.
Sales in the u.s. rose 8.6 percent and grew 20 percent in China, while deliveries in Germany fell 7.9 percent and retreated 26.7 percent in Japan, disclosed the Daimler on Friday.
Sales should receive a further boost when the next generation Mercedes-Benz C-class, the company's best-selling model, reach the halls in China and in North America in September.
Between January and June, total deliveries advanced 12.8 percent to 783,520 cars, the largest ever first half sales reached by manufacturer, putting her on track to register a record in the year.
Deliveries of compact vehicles class A, class B and CLA grew 24.1 percent in the first half, and S-class limo's sales doubled, Daimler said.
