Mercedes-Benz bet plates issued from vans will grow 8%

The vans segment is growing at a pace above the total market of commercial vehicles, who suffers from the slowdown in the automotive sector and also with the discouragement of the Brazilian economy. The automaker launched yesterday (09) the fourth Sprinter line model, with nine seats, directed mainly to the Executive transport. "This is a most comprehensive vehicle, with sophisticated items," says Garcia. The leather seat series, for example, is pointed to by the Manager of the Mercedes as one of the differentials of the vehicle. "Already launched models with larger passenger capacity, now we will focus on one of the most exclusive offer Sprinter," he explains.
Garcia believes the new model Mercedes utilities line should surrender to an automaker gain market share in the segment. According to the Executive, from January to May this year, the total sales of the category (cargo plus passengers) grew 4% in Brazil, while the market share of Mercedes-Benz grew 8%. Also according to the automaker, the accumulated from January to May this year were emplacadas 2 thousand Sprinter vans in the country (only passenger transport), an increase of 36% compared to the same period in 2013.
The Manager of Mercedes claims that the services sector contributed significantly to the performance of category of vans, in Brazil. "The GDP just didn't fall more because of the performance of the service sector, which was very important to sales of the segment and also for our business," he says.
