Online grocery Grows in Brazil

Brazilian consumers who buy grocery items over the internet reached 15% mark. The class that buys this way is a (19%) and the less purchase is the B1 (11%). The data are part of a national study of São Paulo supermarket Association (Apas), through the Panel Connects Ibope intelligence. According to the survey, young people from 16 to 24 years are the age group most active in this channel (18%) and people with more than 55 years, the least (10%). Already the region more uses this method of purchase is the Southeast (16%) and the less is the Midwest use (10%). Among the items purchased over the internet are personal hygiene products (57%), and utilities (50%) and cleaning supplies (46%). Methodology The survey interviewed more than 2000 people over 16 years, being 52% women, representing a universe of 162 million Brazilians of different social classes, age groups and regions of the country.
