Abimapi Estima high in Panetone sales

The sales of panettone should grow 5% in revenues compared to 2018, arriving to move R $735 million in the period from November to January 2019. The data are from the Brazilian Association of Biscuit Industries, pasta and breads and industrialized cakes (ABIMAPI). According to the association, in 2018, 39000 tons of panetone were sold, 2.5% more than in 2017, and the sector billed about R $700 million. With respect to the most consumed segments, the highlight is the traditional ones, with 77% of the volume in sales, followed by the stuffed ones, with 20.4%. "More than 30 million families consumed Panettone between November 2018 and January of this year," says Cláudio Zanão, CEO of Abimapi.
