The research company International Data Corp. (IDC) predicted an even bigger fall in the sale of PCs in 2015, based on a large stock of notebooks and the impact of the appreciation of the dollar. The company informed that the demand should not stabilize until 2017.
IDC expects sales fall 8.7 percent this year, compared with the previous forecast of a fall of 6.2 percent.
The company also said it expects the second quarter has been a period of transition, with vendors preparing for the arrival of Windows 10 in the second half this year.
