P&G develops strategies to improve sales in atacarejos

Mindful of the rise of the atacarejos in the country, the P&G has defined strategies to improve their sales in the channel. The goal is to enhance the shopping experience involving its products. "We want to satisfy the need of the two channel public, the final consumer and the entrepreneur," said Bruno Lourenção, sales manager of the company, during meeting with the press in the afternoon of 25/06, at its headquarters in São Paulo.
For this, the P&G starts to adjust the range of its brands in stores. One of the bets are promotional packages, depending on the current economic downturn in the country. In the category of oral hygiene, for example, the company has created smaller packs of toothbrush, light type 3 and pay for two, for final consumers; and other larger (take 12 and pay for six), intended for the small traders, even so manufacturer's focus on atacarejos.
"But, as the individual comes further using this channel, we need to be vigilant," said the Sales Manager. According to him, the strategy must not mischaracterize the channel or impair its operational efficiency. "We're taking every care. So, we bet in promotional packs for final consumers and not on individual packages, "he said.
