Sanpellegrino acquires more a complete line of PET of the Krones

The Italian mineral water company Sanpellegrino, controlled by Nestle Waters, acquired in 2012 a complete Krones PET line, the 11th line of its Ruspino plant, in the North of the country. The line, with a speed of 60,000 bottles per hour, 500 ml packaging has a Contiform block Bloc solution.
"The technological quality, efficiency and cost-efficiency were decisive factors to acquire one more line from Krones," said Luigi Ravasio, Manager of Sanpellegrino. "The block system is currently the best technological solution for a beverage industry", completed the project engineer of the company, Stefano Ciocca.
This new PET line from Krones also has two packaging machines Variopac Pro FS, a grouping system Robobox, packaging and a Robogrip palletising robot 4A. The line is equipped with a CIP plant, a Contiflow merging, and a line documentation system LDS Krones. The installation of the line lasted two months as expected. Your efficiency level has already reached the degree sought.
Sanpellegrino's decision to acquire another line from Krones was due to the success of the 10 line of the company, which also had the Krones and a provision identical to 11, with a line block system composed of a Contiform S18 preform mold, a Modulfill filler and labeller VODM Topmodul, except it's less income, to 36,000 bottles per hour (1 litre PET).
The Sanpellegrino managed to increase its overall productivity clearly in recent years. In 2006, the company envasava about 965 million bottles with 475 employees, which was equivalent to a 2 million bottles productivity per employee. In 2011, this productivity ratio per employee rose to 2.74 million, thanks to investments of Sanpellegrino in high-tech machines for filling and packaging of their products, many delivered by Krones.
Currently, Sanpellegrino, with his mark s. Pellegrino, compose the portfolio of high standard consumption of Nestlé Waters, alongside other brands known worldwide, such as Perrier, Vittel, Contrex and Acqua Panna. With a total of 16.1 billion liters sold in 2011, according to Euromonitor, Nestlé Waters is the third largest company in the world in this business sector.
The history of Sanpellegrino, however, begins centuries ago, in a famous Italian resort, where in 1509 Leonardo da Vinci visited their sources and sampled local water from the Alps the Lombards. In 1899, was founded the Corporation baths of San Pellegrino, when the company began making the water bottling to commercialisation.
