Amazon buys touchscreen fabrics manufacturers from Samsung

Amazon announced today that it has acquired the Liquavista, a subsidiary of Samsung specializing in touchscreens — "touchscreen".
The value of the deal was not revealed, but in March circulated rumors that Samsung hoped to close the sale for less than $ 100 million.
Amazon declined to detail plans for Liquavista, but it is likely that the company's technology is directed to the Kindle digital reading devices.
The Liquavista is developing a new type of technology for electronic screens called "electrowetting", which, according to the company itself, is capable of creating "bright and colorful images that ensure excellent readability in internal and external environments and use less battery than traditional fabrics".
